Today’s (April 10) overcast weather didn’t deter the community from participating in our first Go Green! Recycle Rally of 2011 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The theme for the event focused on destroying tax documents though we received many computers, TVs, batteries and various other electronic devices. By 10:30 a.m., we already had six pallets filled – and many more after that! People could also enjoy samples of Snapple and enter for a chance to win Sugarland tickets at the 92.5 WBEE tent set up nearby. A few local TV stations stopped by to check out the event and chat with our Conservation Education Coordinator Tina Crandall-Gommel.
